Frumie Rotstein - Design Process

Thanks for visiting this page of my website. Everyone has their unique way of doing things and I wanted to show you a little but of mine. I took one project that I worked on and broke it down step by step to show you how I created the final product. There is a lot of heart and soul that goes into each product I create. Here is my design process.

This is how I created the logo for Just Boards. Just Boards. is a small business that creates yummy, fresh, homemade feel meat boards. They specialize in custom boards as well. The company owner, Esti was a dear to work with. She wanted a bold logo for her company. After meeting with her and understanding her company, what they stand for, and what she was looking for I was able to jump right into starting my design process.

Step number one: Research

I looked at other companies to see what colors, styles, and fonts they used. Next I went online to get more inspiration. Once I gathered all my research I created a mood board.

Step number two: Sketches

Following my inspiration from what I saw, I start to sketch with a pen and paper and see where my creativity leads me.

Step Number Three: Computer Time

After I created the sketches on paper, I move to the computer. I play around with different fonts, styles, colors, and illustrations until I have a few options I am ready to show to the client.

Step Number Four: Meeting with the Client

Then I meet with the client and show them the options. Usually I go back and forth a few times until everything is perfected.

Step Number Five: Delivering the Final Product

Finally, the product is ready. For this project I sent over the logo in a few different files.
This is the final product that we came out with.
